Schools have plans to manage their internal response to a mass violence incident that occurs within the school, but are often not as prepared to integrate their school/district response with the larger community response or to become an integral component of response when the incident occurs outside of the school/district yet impacts students and families. This course will discuss what schools have in place and what they need to know to augment their planning to successfully respond internally to the many incidents occurring across the community that might impact their school/district. The training will also look at effective integration of the internal response with the larger community response to a mass violence incident.
